Very well located hotel with wonderful view to the Duna and Pest side. We had room at the 1st floor what seemed not the best level at the beginning but from that floor you could feel that you can touch the river.
Small and cameral place with specific atmosphere. The staff was really helpful and open to clients. Maybe space for breakfast could be larger but it was quite ok.
I hope to stay in the hotel in the future.

My wife and I satyed at Victoria for 5 nights between 16 and 21 August 2009. We had a 7th floor room. The views were superb just as described on the Hotel's website. The room was clean, breakfast was abundant and above all the reception staff were very helpful. The location of Victoria is very central for anyone who likes to walk instead of using any means of transport. Moreover, the metro station is conveniently located within 5 mins walking distance form the hotel. We would definitely recommend this Budapest hotel.

This was our second stay at Budapest Hotel Victoria, it was a wonderful experience again. The view, as before, was unforgetable as was the friendly and helpful services of the staff. We will return again to this wonderful hotel in one of our favourite cities in the world.

It's not often a hotel lives up to it's promise. The Victoria does - in fact it exceeds it.
The rooms are first class, the staff are pleasant and helpful, the location is marvellous and the view is superb. We loved it!

We loved the location of Victoria. We loved the fact that we were only a short walk away from Pest. The view of the River Danube was amazing both in the morning and at night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to us. Breakfast was enough to set us up for a day of sightseeing.

Great city, great hotel, great location anything you need to know the reception staff are a fountain of knowledge. We were recommended the Kasca restaurant which was superb and worth every penny. Try the bacon and eggs for breakfast unbelievable taste.
Would not hesitate to go back, no one will be disappointed with Victoria. First time in your city and the Victoria and staff were a big contribution to our great weekend

Stayed for four nights from 17th Feb 2008. Had a room on the 9th floor with great views.
This Hotel is great from check in to check out.
Found the bars nearby, the food at the sailor inn is reasonably priced and of good quality. Budapest is wonderful, and all the better for the Victoria.

My grandmother and i visited Hungary in the middle of last year.
Our family's heritage is Hungarian my grandmother was born and raised there.
Travelling around Hungary with my grandmother was a life changing experience. We stayed at many hotels but for a price which wasnt worth what we were given. Except when we spent 3 nights at Victoria the view we were given at such a low fare was truly pheunomonal. Waking up to the view of the Danube was something most people are not able to experience.
The food was beyond fabulous and the help we received as guests made me feel like a VIP. Plus as a teenager i dont appreciate as much as i probably should.
This small hotel offers a lot. I can easily recommend it to anyone. Thankyou very much.

Great Budapest hotel in a great location.
The rooms are spacious and are ell kept. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentyful with omlettes and bacon and eggs available at no extra charge.
We were there for 3 nights from 24 January 2008 and would not hesitate to book again or recommend.
There are a few bars locally, with the Sailor Inn and Lorenzo Sorozo being the best we found. We ate at the Belgian Brasserie next door to Victoria. Over 60 beers on the list and good food. Good prices.

Even before we arrived, the reception staff were extremely helpful with my flurry of emails requesting bookings of restaurants, christmas markets etc.
The ten of us really enjoyed our time in your lovely city and our time there was made all the more by the efficiency of the hotel staff and the excellent location of the hotel. I have to add as a footnote that iI heartily recommend the two fried eggs with bacon for breakfast!

It is never easy to book a hotel for friends that you have not travelledwith before, but I certainly hit the jackpot this time. I think that they commented every day of our stay, how pleased they were with my choice.
Service was excellent, very friendly and helpful receptionists, views to die for and free internet connection!
I hope to return to Budapest with my husband next year and would certainly stay with you again - we would not have a car, so the excellent public transport links would be an added bonus.
Thank you for helping to make our stay in Hungary so enjoyable.
I would recommend your hotel to anyone planning a holiday in Budapest.

my wife and i stayed at the Hotel Victoria 6/5/07 to 12/5/07 as part of a long european holiday.
our stay at the Victoria was by far our best hotel experience of the trip and we stayed in many hotels with a higher star rating. rooms were great,
The friendly staff were always on hand to help and the the breakfast sensational.
I look forward to visiting Budapest again and will look no further than the Victoria for a place to stay.
My wife and I are seasond regular travellers and have yet to find a better value for money friendly, clean hotel anywhere.

The rooms, breakfast and small bar was fantastic and the staff couldn't help enough.
We will return in summer 2007 and Know what a fantatic hotel awaits
being english we missed our tea making facility in the room but otherwise a 5* rating from us

VERY BIG BIG THANKS for your kindness and all you did during my stay, Nov 25-28, (in particular for the price you gave me and all my friends).
All my friends were fascinated by Budapest and in particular of the beautiful view the rooms had of the Danube.
I have been to many countries, cities and hotels (I am a Travel Agent) but so much attention and care I never had before.
Victoria is a little jewel and really cosy.
It’s not possible to describe the beautiful view of the Danube from the rooms. “IT IS FANTASTIC”
Also the strategy position: very close to the most important attractions, the tram stop is in front of the hotel and the metro line is a few minutes walk.
It’s sure I will recommend the Hotel Victoria to all my clients and friends.

What an amazing location! I can´t imagine any better place, if you want to have very comfortable, kind and good hotel in Budapest.
The staff was very kind and they helped for example to find good local restaurants, to book hydrofoil tickets to Vienna etc.
The hotel Victoria is very clean, breakfast was excellent, staff is very helpful and kind - and of course the situation and the view is wonderful! It is very easy to recommend Victoria to your friends.
Plus extra: When we arrived and they told, that our room is in the 9th floor and the room has a balcony, we couldn´t believe it! We had our silver wedding and although I made the reservation more than three months earlier, we couldn´t expect anything "bonus". It was a great surprise and "sitting almost on the Danube" made those three days unforgettable!
Thank you, we really hope to visit you and beautiful Budapest again!

goodsize, clean room. great views of danube, we were on first floor , would recomend higher floors as view restricted by trees ! however the crowning glory of the victoria was the staff, we were given fantastic advice on public transport, tickets etc.the receptionist couldnt do enough for us, poring over maps and our vague directions, she made our stay , thankyou

A jewel in the crown of Budapest - that is what we call this charming small hotel in this great city. An accommodation with a warm and cosy atmosphere, spacious rooms, very well equipped and maintained bathrooms and -of course - the fantastic views from every room (we were a party of six in three rooms). And all that for absolutely very reasonable prices - you can not get a better deal in Buda, nor in Pest.
Plus: a staff that makes you feel at home immediately, and is always there to be of your service with a big smile and all the help they can give.
Plus: the tram stop is at the doorstep and the nr.2 Metro line is a five minutes walk away.
If you like the luxury, views and staff attentiveness of expensive five star hotels, stay at this four star hotel and get all that for half or less that price!
We will come back here again and again, and recommend the Victoria to all our friends, that's for sure!

Fabulous accommodation! Stayed in December 2005 and although it was cold and snowy outside the room was very warm and welcoming - and with a view that few hotels could beat.
Staff were friendly, exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We were made to feel at home immediately.
Breakfast was very good - especially the lovely fresh breads and cheeses. A five-ten minute walk to Metro, tram just outside - a great location. We loved it here.

We had a fabulous stay in September 05, an Indian Summer. Nice Hotel, big rooms, superb view even when in bed polite, caring staff and a very good breakfast.
Budapest is a great place for a break with excellent restaurants and good entertainment. A superb coordinated transport system. We are going back as we want to see more. We will go to Victoria as the service and location is great.....

We stayed at Victoria for 4 nights from 18.9.2005. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were 1st class and the view can not be bettered. The breakfast was excellent and we would highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling to budapest.

Just spent a great 3 nights in Budapest. 1st time in Victoria but I wouldnt hesitate to use it again. Bacon and eggs at breakfast was a welcome surprise. Tram stop outside the hotel ensured it never took more than 15 minutes to get to Vaci Utca on the Pest side. Good accommodation, good ammenities and great view.

From the moment we arrived Victoria made us feel very welcome and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Price reasonable but, going up slowly slowly... No need to look for an alternative. We feel at home staying at Victoria. Thank you to all concerned.
