“Hervorragendes Hotel mit Blick auf die Donau”
Super Lage mit Blick auf das Parlament und die Kettenbrücke. Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Es wurden frische Omelettes, Rührei, etc. zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel und sauber.

“Fantastic view of the Danube and Parliament”
The hotel is perfectly located in Buda; the staff is very kind and helpful, comfortable rooms, clean and with a great view of the Danube river. Close to one of the main streets in town, full of restaurants, bars and shops. Also a few metres away from the Chain Bridge. Beautiful sights from the front room both during the day and night. Would definitely recommend it!

We loved the Boutique Hotel Victoria in Budapest. First of all, we enjoyed staying on the Buda side of the river. Not only was the hotel located on the rampart street facing the river, providing great views, but there were great restaurants right down the street. The neighborhood was a nice contrast to busier and more touristy Pest where we did most of our sightseeing. The hotel itself met all expectations. The common areas and our room were very nice. We had a picture window view of the river from our room. Bathroom was great. Breakfast very good. We were told the hotel was renovated two years ago which makes sense. From our standpoint the cost was very reasonable also. Public transportation was easy, with a metro stop 4 blocks up the street, and tram stop in front of the hotel.

“Superb River Views”
I had previously stayed in one of the "big hotels" on the Pest side and we chose this hotel because of the excellent river views of the Chain Bridge and the Parliament building - the 2 top sights in Budapest, especially at night. We opted for the 4* room and, although I didn't see the 3* option I would definitely recommend paying that little extra. Our room was modern, clean and met our needs perfectly for a short city break. Mini bar was well stocked and, by UK standards, sensibly priced.
There are some nice enough bars and restaurants nearby, but most of the action is on the other side of the river which is a very pleasant 10 min walk away. Trams stop right outside and, should you need one, taxis are plentiful and again quite reasonably priced.
Our room was a really good size, with big windows making the most of the wonderful views. We loved buying a bottle of wine locally, chilling it in the room, and then watching the World go by after dinner, sat in the room's comfortable chairs. There is some noise from the trams, but hey this is a central location!
Breakfast was totally acceptable and was in line with what one would expect from a relatively small boutique hotel.
We found the staff helpful - they lent us an adaptor plug and wine glasses, stored our luggage and booked a taxi for us on departure. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a couple of nights before a river cruise.
The hotel is quite small but it is the very modern style we like and it was very comfortable. The weather was very hot whilst we were there and the air con struggled to keep the room cool, we did ask the staff about it but nothing changed.
Breakfast was adequate but it was pretty limited.
We asked for a taxi when we were leaving but despite four of us all fitting into one taxi when we arrived, they insisted that we should have two on leaving. When the first arrived it was enormous so we all got in and with our cases. However the taxi driver argued with us and insisted two of us go with the other taxi, we refused so he removed our luggage and the two drivers drive off without a word! The hotel were not interested so we walked off and flagged down our own taxi. We were not very impressed with this aspect.
The hotel is located on the Buda side of the river and whilst you have wonderful views from the bedroom, I would stay on the Pest side for our next visit as it is more central.

Friendly staff, clean and immaculate rooms (no traces of other people's hair in the bed). Fantastic river and parliament views (especially during the night). Worth the visit looking forward to staying again.

We visited Budapest for the first time and went on the advice of Trip Advisor reviews for our accommodation. Exactly as reported, clean, newly renovated rooms, stunning views of the Parliament buildings and Danube, very well located near the Metro and the Chain bridge. The breakfast was outstanding with continental and hot food. We were thrilled with our choice of hotel. The staff were helpful with advice we required on buses or the metro, even booking tours for us on request. Our only let down was no coffee making facilities in the room but we bought iced tea for our morning beverage.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff, great location and views. Brilliant restaurant/bar next door - Belgian bar, fantastic food, best we had in all of Budapest.
Agreed could do with tea/coffee making facilities in room. The breakfast was excellent, big choice of salad, cheese, hams, cereals, fruit and a variety of cooked eggs.

“Overlooking the Danube - Definitely Boutique”
This was our first time in Budapest and we chose the hotel according to Trip Advisor reviews. It definitely deserves the Travelers Choice Award as every room is charming and gives you a spectacular view of the Danube and Parliament.
Our room was on the 4th floor and very spacious with wall to wall windows facing the Danube and Parliament. Clean attention to details is given to the room where you will find all modern and upgraded amenities.
You will be charmed by the afternoon tea served in the antique dance hall on the first floor. Tea service is free and you can admire some of the painting and pictures of years gone by from 4 to 5 pm. The hotel offers also a Happy Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 pm when all drink are 2 for 1 in their bar area. The breakfast room is very accommodating and made to order eggs and omelets are offered.
It is truly a boutique “find“ located on the Buda side just a few minutes walk away from local transportation and the funicular to the Buda Castle. You can also reach the Parliament on the Pest side by crossing the bridge on foot (about a 20 minute walk).
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel if you want a quaint charming hotel away from the big box hotels and the tourist buses.

“Great little place near to the Chain Bridge on the Buda side of the Danube” This was a lovely little hotel. the rooms were spacious, and all had views over the Danube onto the Parliament building. This was magical at night when lit up, and lovely in the day too. No kettle in the room, so bring your own. Fantastic breakfast with great coffee. Ham and eggs or omelette freshly made to order by wonderfully smiley woman. all the staff were super and helpful and friendly (as was everyone in Budapest). Pleasant breakfast room. Don't miss the free afternoon tea from 4 -5pm in order to appreciate the amazing rooms at the back of the hotel - music playing and lovely atmosphere. The old ceramic wood burning fires are especially amazing.

“Fantastic hotel!” Having read all the excellent reviews of this hotel prior to our visit, we were even more impressed with this hotel when we arrived! Our room was fantastic with stunning views across the Danube to the Parliament building! At night when everything was lit up it was stunning! The staff were so helpful, organised us an evening river cruise which was excellent! Fantastic breakfasts to start the day, and Happy Hour in the bar after a day's sightseeing! We were so glad we booked this hotel on the Buda side of the Danube as walking across Chain Bridge was so easy to visit Pest on the other side! The old part of Buda is stunning and full of history. The Belgian Brasserie next door to the hotel served excellent food and drinks! Overall we spent a fabulous week here and felt very well looked after... nothing was too much trouble! Would highly recommend this fabulous hotel for a stay in Budapest!

Little Gem Hotel right on the banks of the Danube. Bedrooms are comfortable with our room having panoramic views overlooking the Parliament Building etc. the chain bridge is a 5 minute walk away & Buda castle is behind the hotel on the hill. The tram is outside the hotel. Breakfast is included:- continental and cooked if you prefer. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. They also have a small bar for those in need. Would recommend.

London, Great Britain
As I'm a frequent flier to budapest and have tried a lot of the local hotels, I still keep coming back to this little star. It's clean and modern, the staff are very welcoming plus it has the best views of Budapest. The riverside location Victoria offers is wonderful, plus there is nothing like drifitng off to sleep with the panaoramic window views of the parliament and Pest twinkling in the distance. Great breakfast too.
2015-01-06 15:38:16 - Beautiful views of the Danube
We stayed in this small lovely boutique hotel. We stayed on the third floor, and the view was just as wonderful as it is in the pictures. You could enjoy the night lighting of the House of Parliament and the chain bridge every night just looking from your window. The breakfast was good with a wide selection. The location is really good, with the magnificient castle very near by, and many of the places conveniently reachable with tram & metro. There was also many nice restaurants nearby. The afternoon tearoom was also something quite special. I really enjoyed our stay here.
2014-12-25 12:11:34 - Priceless Views
This is a very small hotel with large rooms and sits right on the Danube looking across to the Pest side of the Danube at the Parliament Building to the left and to the right the Chain Bridge. Spectacular views. We just turned our chairs in the room around to face the windows and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings looking out over the Danube. Stunning lights of the city in front of you. Very helpful staff. Rooms are very clean. The beds are a bit hard. They offer a fine breakfast with eggs cooked however you would like them. Breakfast was included. They also offer an afternoon tea in a beautiful mansion next door and a 2 for 1 happy hour. Very conveniently located and easy to get to transportation. Would highly recommend this hotel.
2014-11-25 15:36:09 - Great hotel and wonderful service.
This is a great hotel right on the Buda side of the Danube. All rooms have fantastic views over the river to the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. The rooms are a good size and are spotlessly clean with maid service every day. The bathroom is small but has a bath and great power shower along with a hairdryer and accessories. The breakfast is served in the room that later doubles as the bar. It is served by the pleasant and helpful staff and there is a full breakfast buffet along with cooked eggs in any form that you like. The staff at reception were friendly and always willing to assist with information, advice or recommendations and are on hand to book restaurants taxi etc On that front the hotel is close to a number of local bars and restaurants and one restaurant we would highly recommend is only a block away don't miss the Carne Di Hall for some great food and service. All in a great hotel for a visit to a beautiful city. Stayed November 2014, travelled as a couple
2014-11-25 15:35:35 - Very nice hotel

2014-11-25 15:34:37 - Rooms with the best view in Budapest
Dorset, United Kingdom
After 4 nights B & B at the Hotel Victoria, we feel so lucky in having chosen to stay there. Budapest is a wonderful city anyway, but the location, the service and the absolutely stunning view from our room taking in the Parliament Building right around to the Chain Bridge (UNESCO World Heritage Site) looking so magical when lit at night, was just brilliant, and we spent ages just looking at it all and the riverboats going by. Most of the the big hotels are on the Pest side and we thought our view far superior to theirs, if indeed they had one at all. Pest is the older, historic and quieter side and the Victoria is just at the foot of the hill with all the beautiful old buildings on it. Even in November it was captivating - and there were no queues! Close by were a variety of restaurants, and the heart of Pest is only 10 minutes walk over the bridge or a short ride on the transport system - which works really well too and is totally free if you are over 65 and from the UK or other EU country. Another lovely thing about this hotel are its wonderful suite of rooms at the back, renovated in their original style, where afternoon tea is offered every day 4-5pm to the accompaniment of the strains of the type of music played by the original owner, a violinist called Hubay. The rooms and original fittings, including porcelain stoves, are extremely fine, and I don't know whether it was just because we were footsore after a hard day's sightseeing or whether the local water and the silver samovar combined just made an excellent cuppa, but it was a really pleasant addition to the day.
