“Great little place near to the Chain Bridge on the Buda side of the Danube” This was a lovely little hotel. the rooms were spacious, and all had views over the Danube onto the Parliament building. This was magical at night when lit up, and lovely in the day too. No kettle in the room, so bring your own. Fantastic breakfast with great coffee. Ham and eggs or omelette freshly made to order by wonderfully smiley woman. all the staff were super and helpful and friendly (as was everyone in Budapest). Pleasant breakfast room. Don't miss the free afternoon tea from 4 -5pm in order to appreciate the amazing rooms at the back of the hotel - music playing and lovely atmosphere. The old ceramic wood burning fires are especially amazing.
“Fantastic hotel!” Having read all the excellent reviews of this hotel prior to our visit, we were even more impressed with this hotel when we arrived! Our room was fantastic with stunning views across the Danube to the Parliament building! At night when everything was lit up it was stunning! The staff were so helpful, organised us an evening river cruise which was excellent! Fantastic breakfasts to start the day, and Happy Hour in the bar after a day's sightseeing! We were so glad we booked this hotel on the Buda side of the Danube as walking across Chain Bridge was so easy to visit Pest on the other side! The old part of Buda is stunning and full of history. The Belgian Brasserie next door to the hotel served excellent food and drinks! Overall we spent a fabulous week here and felt very well looked after... nothing was too much trouble! Would highly recommend this fabulous hotel for a stay in Budapest!
Little Gem Hotel right on the banks of the Danube. Bedrooms are comfortable with our room having panoramic views overlooking the Parliament Building etc. the chain bridge is a 5 minute walk away & Buda castle is behind the hotel on the hill. The tram is outside the hotel. Breakfast is included:- continental and cooked if you prefer. Staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English. They also have a small bar for those in need. Would recommend.
Well run hotel in a great location. This hotel has modern furnishings. Wonderful breakfast offerings. Reasonable pricing. Good restaurants nearby. Close to Chain Bridge. Within walking distance to the City Center and Transportation.
As I'm a frequent flier to budapest and have tried a lot of the local hotels, I still keep coming back to this little star. It's clean and modern, the staff are very welcoming plus it has the best views of Budapest. The riverside location Victoria offers is wonderful, plus there is nothing like drifitng off to sleep with the panaoramic window views of the parliament and Pest twinkling in the distance. Great breakfast too.
We stayed in this small lovely boutique hotel. We stayed on the third floor, and the view was just as wonderful as it is in the pictures. You could enjoy the night lighting of the House of Parliament and the chain bridge every night just looking from your window. The breakfast was good with a wide selection. The location is really good, with the magnificient castle very near by, and many of the places conveniently reachable with tram & metro. There was also many nice restaurants nearby. The afternoon tearoom was also something quite special. I really enjoyed our stay here.
This is a very small hotel with large rooms and sits right on the Danube looking across to the Pest side of the Danube at the Parliament Building to the left and to the right the Chain Bridge. Spectacular views. We just turned our chairs in the room around to face the windows and enjoyed a glass of wine in the evenings looking out over the Danube. Stunning lights of the city in front of you. Very helpful staff. Rooms are very clean. The beds are a bit hard. They offer a fine breakfast with eggs cooked however you would like them. Breakfast was included. They also offer an afternoon tea in a beautiful mansion next door and a 2 for 1 happy hour. Very conveniently located and easy to get to transportation. Would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a great hotel right on the Buda side of the Danube. All rooms have fantastic views over the river to the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. The rooms are a good size and are spotlessly clean with maid service every day. The bathroom is small but has a bath and great power shower along with a hairdryer and accessories. The breakfast is served in the room that later doubles as the bar. It is served by the pleasant and helpful staff and there is a full breakfast buffet along with cooked eggs in any form that you like. The staff at reception were friendly and always willing to assist with information, advice or recommendations and are on hand to book restaurants taxi etc On that front the hotel is close to a number of local bars and restaurants and one restaurant we would highly recommend is only a block away don't miss the Carne Di Hall for some great food and service. All in a great hotel for a visit to a beautiful city. Stayed November 2014, travelled as a couple

After 4 nights B & B at the Hotel Victoria, we feel so lucky in having chosen to stay there. Budapest is a wonderful city anyway, but the location, the service and the absolutely stunning view from our room taking in the Parliament Building right around to the Chain Bridge (UNESCO World Heritage Site) looking so magical when lit at night, was just brilliant, and we spent ages just looking at it all and the riverboats going by. Most of the the big hotels are on the Pest side and we thought our view far superior to theirs, if indeed they had one at all. Pest is the older, historic and quieter side and the Victoria is just at the foot of the hill with all the beautiful old buildings on it. Even in November it was captivating - and there were no queues! Close by were a variety of restaurants, and the heart of Pest is only 10 minutes walk over the bridge or a short ride on the transport system - which works really well too and is totally free if you are over 65 and from the UK or other EU country. Another lovely thing about this hotel are its wonderful suite of rooms at the back, renovated in their original style, where afternoon tea is offered every day 4-5pm to the accompaniment of the strains of the type of music played by the original owner, a violinist called Hubay. The rooms and original fittings, including porcelain stoves, are extremely fine, and I don't know whether it was just because we were footsore after a hard day's sightseeing or whether the local water and the silver samovar combined just made an excellent cuppa, but it was a really pleasant addition to the day.
