We have stayed in hotels all over the world and never before have written to say how much we enjoyed our stay. From the friendly and efficient reception, to the breakfast staff and the very high standards of the room cleaners to the overall management, the whole team clearly works very well together. We had read reviews before booking but they are not able to give the truest impression. The rooms (and ours in particular) are superbly appointed, immaculately cleaned with superb bedding. The views, - well -simply magnificent. Thank you to all at Hotel Victoria, we had already recommended you to 3 other travellers on our return trip and will continue to do so!!

We actually booked Hotel Victoria through booking.com who rated the hotel Superb. They were very accurate in this statement. When we reached the hotel, you immediately found a aurora of friendship and professionalism. The staff are excellent, no other word could suffice. The room we were given was spotlessly clean and so well presented it gave you a feeling of...Wow. However the Wow's did not stop there as the views over the River Danube of the Parliament Building, Pest and the Chain Bridge took your breath away. These views at night sitting in our room with a glass of Hungarian Wine looking out over this same scene with all the buildings lit up, will be an unforgettable experience for us. It was beautiful. It is very rare when you can you sit at the bar and have a pleasant chat and drink with the Owner, Zoltan. He is a mine of information and the history of the Hotel and the immediate area we found fascinating. Breakfast came either fried or continental or both. Very, very good, lots to eat and drink for the start of your sight seeing day, around this beautiful city. Thank you Zoltan and all the staff for making our stay a wonderful experience. We will be back.

We just enjoied a 4-night stay at Hotel Victoria and cannot miss to recommend it. Our room was clean and cosy, with a wonderful view over the Danube, the Parliament and the Bridge of the Chains. The staff is very kind and efficient, good breakfast and hotel location are a plus. The funicolar to the Fortress hill, as well as the metro and tramway station are close to Victoria, so cheap and easy trips to every corners in Budapest are allowed. la chambre est spacieuse avec vue superbe sur le Danube , l'endroit est idéal pour visiter la ville , l'arret de tram est juste devant la porte , hotel tout pres du pont des Chaînes , au pied de Buda ; la visite de la ville pourrait facilement presque tout se faire a pied . le petit déjeuner est moyen , domage qu'il n'y a pas de resto dans l'hôtel mais le restaurant Belge a côté est a recommander ( grand choix de biere et plats délicieux , pas tres cher comme en haut de Buda Le personnel est aimable et serviable.

Great location (half way between the Parliament and the Chain Bridge); wonderful view of the Danube (it was so close that it felt like I almost touched it). The all-wall windows on the third floor room offered a spectacular view of the Danube, the Parliament, and the bridge from the bed. This image was enhanced during evening and nights by the multitude of lights. This is the perfect location for romantic nights: beautiful view of Budapest while enjoying champagne with your loved one.

We booked 2 double 4 star rooms and we can say we could not hope for better. Victoria is just perfect. Excellent location close to the center, the rooms face the Danube river and the very large windows offered us a marvelous view of the city– in the night it is absolutely fantastic, almost unreal. The rooms are very spacious, well-furnished and clean, very large and comfortable double bed, nice and clean bathroom. The breakfast buffet was very good and varied. Very good internet connection, free of charge. The staff was really friendly, patient and helpful and offered us many useful information. Thank you for everything. As indicated above the hotel was excellent in always. Perfect location with great views across the Danube. Everything was within walking distance or if you want the tram stops just outside the hotel and the metro is 5 mins up the road. Very well located hotel with wonderful view to the Duna and Pest side. We had room at the 1st floor what seemed not the best level at the beginning but from that floor you could feel that you can touch the river. Small and cameral place with specific atmosphere. The staff was really helpful and open to clients. Maybe space for breakfast could be larger but it was quite ok. I hope to stay in the hotel in the future.

My wife and I satyed at Victoria for 5 nights between 16 and 21 August 2009. We had a 7th floor room. The views were superb just as described on the Hotel's website. The room was clean, breakfast was abundant and above all the reception staff were very helpful. The location of Victoria is very central for anyone who likes to walk instead of using any means of transport. Moreover, the metro station is conveniently located within 5 mins walking distance form the hotel. We would definitely recommend this Budapest hotel.

Meine Frau und ich waren im August 2008 in diesem Hotel. Der Service ist sehr gut. Alle waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet - man geht sogar auf Sonderwünsche ein und fragt zum Beispiel, wie man die Frühstückseier möchte, wie der Schinken sein soll usw. Das kenbnen wir in dieser freundlichen Art sonst nur von Amerika. Die Aussicht auf die Dona ist besonders nachts bei Beleuchtung des Parlaments grandios! Wenn ich wieder in Budapest übernachten will, dann nur im Hotel Victoria. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland.

Great city, great hotel, great location anything you need to know the reception staff are a fountain of knowledge. We were recommended the Kasca restaurant which was superb and worth every penny. Try the bacon and eggs for breakfast unbelievable taste. Would not hesitate to go back, no one will be disappointed with Victoria. First time in your city and the Victoria and staff were a big contribution to our great weekend

Hotel sympa du côté de BUDA quartier tranquille, tres bon accueil, et surtout chambre superbe donnant sur le danube. Pas de restaurant dans l'hotel lui meme mais plein de trucs sympas tout autour. Un arret de tram au pied de l'hotel qui vous amene en 2 secondes a la bouche de métro qui traverse tout Budapest. Clientele de couples plus ou moins âgés enfin plutôt plus.. ce qui est un gage de tranquilité Tres bon souvenir Réviser son anglais est indispensable.

Stayed for four nights from 17th Feb 2008. Had a room on the 9th floor with great views. This Hotel is great from check in to check out. Found the bars nearby, the food at the sailor inn is reasonably priced and of good quality. Budapest is wonderful, and all the better for the Victoria.

My grandmother and i visited Hungary in the middle of last year. Our family's heritage is Hungarian my grandmother was born and raised there. Travelling around Hungary with my grandmother was a life changing experience. We stayed at many hotels but for a price which wasnt worth what we were given. Except when we spent 3 nights at Victoria the view we were given at such a low fare was truly pheunomonal. Waking up to the view of the Danube was something most people are not able to experience. The food was beyond fabulous and the help we received as guests made me feel like a VIP. Plus as a teenager i dont appreciate as much as i probably should. This small hotel offers a lot. Great Budapest hotel in a great location. The rooms are spacious and are ell kept. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentyful with omlettes and bacon and eggs available at no extra charge. We were there for 3 nights from 24 January 2008 and would not hesitate to book again or recommend. There are a few bars locally, with the Sailor Inn and Lorenzo Sorozo being the best we found. We ate at the Belgian Brasserie next door to Victoria. Over 60 beers on the list and good food. Good prices.

Even before we arrived, the reception staff were extremely helpful with my flurry of emails requesting bookings of restaurants, christmas markets etc. The ten of us really enjoyed our time in your lovely city and our time there was made all the more by the efficiency of the hotel staff and the excellent location of the hotel. Wir sind ein Paar und haben nur einige Tage im Hotel Victoria gewohnt. Es war eine großartige Erfahrung! Das Personal war freundlich und bereit alle unsere Fragen über das Hotel und die Stadt zu beantworten. Die Zimmer waren geschmacksvoll dekoriert, sauber und genug breit usw. Das Frühstück war herrlich, und der Frühstücksraum einfach schön. Die Lage des Hotels lässt man schnell das Stadtzentrum erreichen – es ist mit Aussicht auf die Donau, und liegt in der nächsten Nähe der Metrohaltestelle und auch nahe der Kettenbrücke. Das Herz von Budapest kann man spazierend über die Kettenbrücke erreichen. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel allen Touristen!

Siamo una coppia che é stata all’Hotel Victoria Budapest solo per alcune notti, ma é stata un’esperienza eccellente. Lo staff é stato amichevole ed estremamente disposto a rispondere alle nostre domande riguardo l’Hotel e la citta stessa. Le stanze arredate con buon gusto, pulite, abbastanza grandi, ecc. La colazione é stata magnifica, e la sala per colazione anche bella. La posizione dell’Hotel era perfetta per visitare il centro della citta guardando dall’alto il Danubio, proprio vicino alla stazione della metropolitana e molto vicino al famoso Ponte delle Catene, a portata di mano per attraversare il fiume ed arrivare nel cuore di Budapest. Noi vorremmo raccomandarvi veramente questo Hotel.

Quoique nous deux, nous n’ayons séjourné que quelques jours a l’Hôtel Victoria Budapest, c’était tout de meme une expérience superbe pour nous. Le personnel était accueillant et a tout fait pour répondre a toutes nos questions relatives a l’hôtel et a la ville meme. L’ameublement des chambres propres et dument spacieuses était fait avec bon gout. Le petit déjeuner était superbe, le restaurant ou le petit déjeuner était servi ayant été tout simplement magnifique. La position centrale de l’hôtel est idéale pour les touristes désireux de découvrir le centre-ville: vue sur le Danube, proximité du métro et du célebre Pont de Chaînes, facilité de traverser le fleuve a pied pour se retrouver au beau milieu de Budapest. Nous recommandons de tout cour a tous et a toutes cet hôtel!

El personal fué muy acogedor y han hecho todo lo posible para responder nuestras preguntas sobre el hotel y la ciudad. El moblaje de los cuartos es de buén gusto, limpio y consecuentemente amplio. El desayuno fué majestuoso y el restaurante es maravilloso. La posición central del hotel es ideal para los que quieran descubrir el casco de la ciudad - panorama al Danubio, cerca del metro y el famoso Puente de las Cadenas, se puede cruzar fácilmente el río y uno se halla inmediatamente en el corazón de Budapest. It is never easy to book a hotel for friends that you have not travelledwith before, but I certainly hit the jackpot this time. I think that they commented every day of our stay, how pleased they were with my choice. Service was excellent, very friendly and helpful receptionists, views to die for and free internet connection! I hope to return to Budapest with my husband next year and would certainly stay with you again - we would not have a car, so the excellent public transport links would be an added bonus. Thank you for helping to make our stay in Hungary so enjoyable. I would recommend your hotel to anyone planning a holiday in Budapest.

Estuvímos en el Hotel Victoria Budapest entre el 6 y 12 de mayo de 2007 con mi esposa, como una escala de una jira Europea. El Hotel Victoria fué el mejor sítio entre los otros hoteles aún con más estrellas dónde nos habíamos alojado previamente. Los cuartos son fantásticos, el personal está a su disposición en cada momento, y no tenemos palabras para expresar el delicioso desayuno. Espero mucho la próxima ocasión para visitar a Budapest, me alojaré sin duda en el Hotel Victoria. Somos viajantes experimentados pero nunca hemos encontrado un precio mejor por la calidad, un hotel más límpio y más amistoso.

Wir müssen sagen, dass Victoria war bei weitem das beste Hotel wo wir – während unserer Reise - gewohnt haben. Die Zimmer waren spitze, das Personal immer hilfsbereit und das Frühstück einfach sensationell. Wenn wir zurückkommen, werden wir wieder Victoria wählen, denn es ist schwer ein so preiswertes und sauberes Hotel irgendwo zu finden!

Sto programmando di visitare nuovamente Budapest a breve e non cerchero altre sistemazioni al di fuori dell’hotel Victoria. Avec ma femme, nous avons hébergé a l’Hôtel Victoria Budapest du 6 au 12 mai 2007, une des étapes de notre voyage plus long en Europe. Pour l’ensemble de notre voyage, les expériences acquises dans Victoria sont loin les meilleures, bien que nous ayons hébergé dans un bon nombre d’hôtels a plus d’étoiles que celui-ci! Les chambres sont formidables, le personnel accueillant était toujours a disposition, pret a aider, le petit déjeuner, quant a lui, était sensationnel. Il me tarde de revenir a nouveau sur Budapest pour descendre a Victoria, bien évidemment. Avec ma femme, nous sommes tous les deux des voyageurs rompus, mais nous n’avons été logés nulle part au monde dans un hôtel plus propre ou plus convivial ou prix et services seraient aussi bien en adéquation.

my wife and i stayed at the Hotel Victoria 07-6-5 to 07-12-5 as part of a long european holiday. our stay at the Victoria was by far our best hotel experience of the trip and we stayed in many hotels with a higher star rating. rooms were great, The friendly staff were always on hand to help and the the breakfast sensational. I look forward to visiting Budapest again and will look no further than the Victoria for a place to stay. My wife and I are seasond regular travellers and have yet to find a better value for money friendly, clean hotel anywhere. Matt and Judy Schweighoffer.

We stayed at the Victoria for 4 days in December 2006 along with 6 other adults. The rooms, breakfast and small bar was fantastic and the staff couldn't help enough. We will return in summer 2007 and Know what a fantatic hotel awaits being english we missed our tea making facility in the room but otherwise a 5* rating from us

I would then like to say a VERY BIG BIG THANKS for your kindness and all you did during my stay, Nov 25-28, (in particular for the price you gave me and all my friends). All my friends were fascinated by Budapest and in particular of the beautiful view the rooms had of the Danube. I have been to many countries, cities and hotels (I am a Travel Agent) but so much attention and care I never had before. Victoria is a little jewel and really cosy. It’s not possible to describe the beautiful view of the Danube from the rooms. “IT IS FANTASTIC” Also the strategy position: very close to the most important attractions, the tram stop is in front of the hotel and the metro line is a few minutes walk.
