Hotel History
Hotel Victoria was originally built at another location of Budapest in 1983, as the first private hotel after World War II. Since at that time the private accommodation sector was not accepted, the state forced the owners to sell the hotel to a state-owned company. Fortunately the company did not want to buy the name: Hotel Victoria. Some years later, the construction of the new Hotel Victoria began and it opened in 1990 in one of the best locations in Budapest, on the riverside of the Danube in the centre of the city with a spectacular view from all of the hotel rooms. The hotel offers all major services for tourists and business people. The primary aim of the owners is to operate Hotel Victoria as the best Boutique hotel in Budapest. We understand that the expression ’Boutique hotel’ is not very well known yet in Budapest, however the location of the hotel and the quality of services provided, will hopefully make it very popular in the near future.
